Addie wore her princess dress and glass slippers the rest of the day, because we had a very important dinner invitation.....to eat with Cinderella upstairs in her castle :). Here's Addie with her proud brother....

The Making of a Princess

Most of you know how much Addie loves her princesses. The Magic Kingdom has a great little place in the bottom of Cinderella's castle called the Bibbiti Boppiti Boutique. It's a magical place where little girls get transformed into a princess! We had to go because I know that she is getting older, and that a day is coming when she will decide that princesses only exist in Fairy Tales. Gah! Once a princess, always a princess I say :)!!!!!!!!!!! This is a pic of Addie's little dressing room and the clothes her Fairy Godmother left for her.......

Let the magic begin!! Addie getting her hair done by her Fairy Godmother. Don't know why I think it's funny, BUT, Addie's Fairy Godmother was (as my kids would say) chocolate. Not that it matters. I mean, Fairy Godmother's come in all shapes and sizes and I'm sure they come in all colors. Was just ironic with all the recent discussion about dark chocolate and light chocolate, and whatever. Kids are so funny. Anyway, she was a very sweet lady. She tried her best to get Addie to talk to her, but our little princess was too shy. It is so cute that they refer to every little girl as "princess!" I don't think Addie knew exactly how to respond to this.
Getting the hair done! These ladies have it down to a science. Lots of gel and slicked up so tight. Her hair did not move all day. This is one of my favorite pics of the experience!

Tea Cups

Ok. So, the kids were dying to ride the tea cups at, like, 10 o'clock in the morning. Sounds like a fun first stop, huh? UGH!!!!!!! Five of us on one tea cup with 3 people spinning....................lots of laughs, lots of dizzy, and a little of feeling like puke! Here's the kids before the ride!

Magic Kingdom Pics (Finally!!!)

So, I got the cameras developed and, well, we have pictures. They are not great, but some of them turned out decent. Honest opinion? Disposable cameras stink!
First view of Mainstreet USA at the Magic Kingdom! There is nothing like making that turn and seeing the castle! Although Christmas had been over for several weeks, Disney was still in the process of taking down their decorations. Bonus for us!!!

It is so funny to watch these girls play princesses.....all of the princess characters hold their hands like Ariel is here, and all of them speak in a high-pitched tone. Monsters Inc.
The American Idol Experience. Very cool attraction. They actually do a small version of the show and the set looks exactly like the real thing. They audition people in the morning and then we actually saw three people sing, etc. when we were there. The kids liked it because we got to vote at the end and that sent the one lucky guy through to the night time finals! If you make it to Disney any time soon, this is a must-see!!!!!!

Hollywood Studios

Stunt car show at Hollywood Studios.......I have to admit, I was like, whhhaaattt????? when we were walking in with thousands of people and all I could hear was screeching tires and engines. Total guy attraction, but it was actually pretty cool to see how they pull off some of the stunts that they do. Who knew that they actually built cars that the drivers drove from the trunk?!?! Makes total sense if you consider it. Anyway, the boys loved it, I was pleasantly surprised, and Addie, well, I had to laugh. She just kind-of looked up at me with those big brown eyes (fingers in mouth) and I could just hear her say...."For real? Why is everyone clapping? It's loud? They are cars? Ugh. Where are the princesses??????" I love her.

Asher in front of the mock street backdrops. He was not a bit tricked by this and just said....."that's fake." I really love this pic for several reasons. A.) He is rockin' his little skinny jeans and chucks. Little guy is cool, no? B.) He looks so proud of himself C.) He is wearing his light sabre that he scored after the Star Wars ride. Totally ready to take care of some business :).

Heading out to the parks.....Hollywood Studios. This means one thing.......Tower of Terror!!!! EEK! Mommy declined, but Bay, Addie, and Asher rode with their daddy. We have video, but all you see is dark, screaming, dark, laughing, screaming, dark, laughing, well, you get the idea. They really seemed to enjoy it!
Beauty and the Beast Show......Addie and Asher loved this!
