Quiz For The Day

Ok. So, as you can see, the Griffins are super busy these days.....honestly, this calendar does not even have all our stuff on it! But really, all I'm focusing on is the end of the month and Spring Break. Who isn't in need of a week away from home at the beach?!?!?!?!?! We will be heading to Florida on Friday and making a little stop in Birmingham so that the kids can meet their cousin Ty for the very first time. They are sooooooo excited. So excited that they ask me everyday when we are going. And by everyday, I mean EVERY DAY. It's like waiting for Christmas. Anyway, a little funny for all of you. And a Quiz. Noticed a little extra something on the calendar the other day. Was added by Bay. March 24th........PM Birthday. Let's discuss.......hmmmmm............Prime Minister? No! hmmmmmmmmm.......Patricia Matthews (Trish)?......Nope! Tick Tock, Tick Tock......Give Up?????? I was ironing over the weekend when Bay says, "Mom? Peyton Mannings Birthday is this week. Know how old he'll be?" Ah hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!! I could have died. But it was Bay. Had to play it cool, you know? So, so funny. And so Bay! There you have it family and friends. In case you were unaware (and shame on you if you were), Peyton Manning has a Birthday this week. Hope you've got it on your calendar too!

Musical Part 2

The whole production......K-2 grade....
Bay in action. His song was "Happy Being Grumpy Everyday." This sort-of suits him as of late as he has hit that age where he's in between being a kid and being, well, cool. I don't even know how to describe it. But, you grandparents that were there know.....he wouldn't hug any of them post production. Ugh. And so it begins.....For the record, he's not even 8 yet. 8! He thinks he's 18. Anyway, here they are posing like they r grumpy. Was too funny!!!

Stone Soup- The Musical

The kids recently had their Spring Play at school..........Stone Soup (the M.....usical) was a folk tale that took place in a small town in Germany. The lesson learned from the story is....it is better to give than receive! Bay, Addie, and Asher did so great singing and being a part of telling the story. As you can see, the constumes were kind-of funny. Asher and Addie loved it. Bay, well, at least he got to wear his baseball socks. Snort! Enjoy the pics of all the fun.

I'm Nuts For Asher!!!!!!

Am trying to play catch up, so make sure you scroll down and check out the two posts about Bay!!! I'm calling this one "I'm Nuts for Asher" because, well, I'm just crazy about this little guy. He is such a fun kid to raise and I'm so proud to call him mine! Everyday is an adventure, and everyday brings new smiles when Asher Guy is around.......take this day for instance. We just got home from school and I'm digging through backpacks to check out all the work they did at school and empty out lunch boxes. Hmmmmmmm..........what's that in Asher Guy's pocket?
Strange...there's a ton of them......

It's nuts y'all!!!!!! Acorns to be exact! He has turned into a squirrel.......storing for next winter I guess? Apparently he collects them from the playground and packs them away to bring home. Did I tell you I love him? Love him!

More of America....

A totally different month, and Bay's class continues with the America theme. This time they did a special study on all things America.....think the White House, Lincoln Memorial, etc. The kids were to decorate a hat with these things and the entire 1st grade paraded through the halls of CAK Elementary while the Star Spangled Banner played. As you can see, Bay worked it pretty well. We managed to find a felt hat and Party City and he and I looked all over the internet for pictures of American icons to print off and attach to the hat. I have to laugh and bet you will too, because we added the American Flag necklace. It was awesome!!! Here's Bay with his classmate Austin

God Bless America

Another delayed post. Just seems it is so busy these days! Recently Bay's 1st grade class had a special part in their weekly chapel service at school. The kids did sign language to the song God Bless America!! He did such a great job and really seemed to concentrate hard on signing it just right. I managed to sneak a couple of pics.....it's hard to tell what they are doing, but you get the idea :)

A Day With the Girls

So, I'm about a month behind with our family blogging. Last month Addie was able to do a fun girls day out with some of her friends from school......it was a sort-of Valentines party, and the girls had so much fun!!! First they did lunch at Apple Cake Tea Room. Then we took them to the Nail Bar for manicures! They were too cute all lined up to get their nails done, and of course, the colors they picked were red, pink, and blue!!!!!! Here are a few pics of the adventure......
