Snow
Well, it's been a long time since Knoxville has seen a good snow. Not anymore! We've been blessed with several days of the beautiful white stuff, and our family has truly enjoyed playing in it! I think we were all surprised when we woke up to find this....
Measuring the snow. This was on our front step and before it stopped snowing. I'd guess we got about 3 inches at our house!
Snow Part 2
The best hill we have for sledding is a few streets over on the Farragut Greenway. Any good snow, and we grab our sleds and walk over there. Usually there's a whole group from the neighborhood sledding, but this time, we were pretty much the only ones there for awhile. The fun ended and we headed home when Asher bumped into another kids sled head first. Ouch!

Easy Bake
Addie got an Easy Bake oven this Christmas from her Meme. She's a little below the recommended age, but has been begging for one for several months, so I told mom to go ahead and get it. All this snow we've been getting has been keeping us stuck at home, so what better time to try it out?! She decided to make smores for her first attempt....

Last of New Year's
Addie and Daddy waiting for the ball to drop. She fell asleep shortly after this pic, but both of the boys lasted until midnight!
Well, I don't know if we started a tradition or not, but we certainly enjoyed the time away! I think one of the funniest parts was the family kinect tournament......that thing wears me out! Jody and I battled into overtime on table tennis before he finally beat me, then I got whipped by Bay in track and field. Maybe momma needs to work on her skills while everyone is busy during the day?!?! Lol! Hope yours was a great start to the New Year! Looking forward to a new start and many new memories :)
NYE
After Wonderworks we grabbed a bite to eat, then headed to Nascar Speedpark. Free mini golf for the entire family=sweet! So of course we played a round. Now you would think that my boys (and by boys I mean Bay, Asher, and Jody) would be so good at mini golf. Right? Wrong. I'm not one to brag or anything, but, guess who won?!?!?!

Addie has such good form.....but, she is just not so great at this stuff. And she gets so mad about it! I think she literally threw the club down at one point.
The puzzle. This probably won't mean anything to anyone reading this, but this stinkin puzzle took us two days to complete. And I was determined we were going to finish it. It's three puzzles in one.....one on the back of this, the helmet, and the helmet plus checkerboard you see here. I'm not kidding y'all....this thing was hard. All five of us worked on it. So many random pieces!
NYE Continued
Jody testing the water. You stick your hand in there and it cools to just like the water was when the Titanic sank...the timer told you how long you were able to last in the water.
Asher. I am not kidding. This is Asher. He was so brave and so intent that he wanted to climb the wall. Bay and Addie would have nothing to do with it.
New Year's Eve
Asher has been dying to go to the "Upside Down House" in Pigeon Forge. We've seen it several times as we've been passing through, so we decided that a weekend away was a great time to go! If you haven't yet been, go! It's worth the money just to go through wonderworks....it kind-of reminded me of the Children's Museum in Chattanooga....so many things to touch and explore and fun stuff too. Addie, Asher, and I even went through the indoor ropes course! Here's some pics of the fun...

Mountain Adventure
Jody and I decided it would be fun to take the kids somewhere for New Year's Eve this year, and we finally settled on the mountains. Who knew that everybody and their brother would be in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg at the same time? It was so crowded. The good thing was, we didn't have to really go anywhere if we didn't want to.....just hang out in the cabin! We had the best time with the kids and made many great memories :)....a pic of the sign from the neighborhood we were in....
