CAK Thanksgiving and Grandparent's Day
Addie and Asher had a special class party for Thanksgiving last week, and I was honored to attend. The class picked their own menu for their "Feast," and as you would expect, it was full of kid favorites :). My item to send in????? Hot Dogs. Yuck! But the kids loved them and were so excited to realize what they were when they unwrapped that little ball of aluminum foil. As you can see below, pizza and chicken nuggets were also on the menu. So many things to be thankful for........

Last week CAK also hosted Grandparents Day. It's a fun day for the kids because their Grandparents are invited to visit their classrooms and then there is a big program in the gym where the kids get to sing for them. Papaw and Grammie are regulars for this event, and Mee Maw (Jody's grandmother) came this year too. Some of the best pics.............
Golf Testing
Well, once again I am weeks behind with blogging. Sigh. It's only gonna get worse this next month, so bare with me......Tis the season!!!! A few weeks ago, the boys had testing day at golf. The program is kind of like karate in that they make their way through levels of ability and are rewarded with different colored hats (vs. karate belts). This day, some of the parents also tested to help raise money for the golf coach who is getting ready to go on a mission trip. The day was such a success as both of our boys passed their levels....Asher is now a red hat with a white stripe, and Bay skipped a level and is now a white hat. AND, the golf coach managed to raise over $3,000 towards her trip! I enjoyed watching the boys try so hard (and succeed) and really loved watching Jody test with them. Here's a few highlights....

Busy Week!
It's been another busy week at the Griffin house! Addie and Asher had a fun field trip this week to Mayfield Dairy. It's always neat to see how they bottle the milk (and ice cream) and why they choose to use those yellow jugs! Asher was chosen to be "star of the week" in his class....this meant they got to learn about all things Asher...his favorite color, favorite book, his family, his pets, and on Friday, I got to take in his favorite snack........chips and ranch dip of course :). Jody is away on a golf trip and we can't wait for him to come back on Sunday.....mom is pooped!!! Here's a few pics from the week.....

Me and the twins in our hair nets. Snort! Mayfield makes everyone wear one of these to tour the facility. When the lady was handing them out, Asher boldly asked if she had washed the "things".....such a smart question and so funny.....she replied that they only gave out new ones. I know every adult there was wondering the same thing!!!!!
Asher's "all about me" sheet. This is one of those things that just makes a parent smile and reflect that maybe, just maybe all this work I'm doing is paying off. What a kid! I love his answers, and I love that they are his true response to each question. PRECIOUS. BEAUTIFUL. Now to PRAY that he never changes as he grows up. I love him. :)

Last of Halloween
Papaw/Cha Cha
Halloween Fun
Well, Halloween has come and gone, but you can be sure these pictures will live forever. They. Are. Priceless. The costumes were genius because they are twins, but more so because they totally fit their personalities. We had a busy Halloween starting off with a party at a friends house complete with dinner, inflatables, hayride, and bonfire with smores. The kids were worn out after and that was just on Saturday! On Sunday we had Papaw and Grammie over for Chili and then Cha Cha and Justin stopped by with Ty. Bay refused to dress up (again), but Addie and Asher were all about it! We trick-or-treated and they absolutely loved running up and ringing the doorbells. Asher especially cracked me up because he would linger up at their front porches.......just talking to them. You know, about their pumpkins, decorations, etc. Snort! Most people thought he was a girl in his wig, but of course, he set them straight every time :). Now to destroy all of the candy.....

Addie as Alice in Wonderland (actually she refers to herself as "Allison" bc she never could quite get that it was Alice IN Wonderland)
:)
Asher as The Mad Hatter. The Mad Hatter was a crazy character of course.....this was perfect for Asher. He looks like this in almost every picture!!!!!
