Chestbump

Bay throwing a touchdown.....
Excited they scord.....
Chestbump......
Let's celebrate.........these pics just make me laugh! Boys are so funny., and I guess it is so good for the man that's inside of him to celebrate success. They pick this stuff up so early. At least there's no penalty for celebrating. Just thought I would share the joy.......don't you sometimes wish we could celebrate every win in life this way? Snort!

Small but Mighty

More football pics.....these are of Asher! The last game was so cold, but both boys played so hard. Thought everyone would enjoy seeing my little guy as quarterback. He kind of looks like he's getting ready to milk a cow, but, he's just short and has to get low to get in there, you know?!

At quarterback....
Handing off the ball. Still undefeated!

Around the House

Two of my three children have decided that they are interior decorators. While one has sweet intentions, I get the feeling that the other is just, well, let's say over the testerone that's flowing through the house. Last week I found both of these things posted while putting away the laundry. Bay worked so hard on copying this from his bible and then posted it beside his bed. You can even see where he erased and missed a couple of letters, but I thought it was too sweet not to get a picture. It's still hanging on his wall.............

Climbing the steps to carry up the laundry I spotted this little sign. You will note the door is closed. See pic below for a better view of what the sign says. I think this means she wants her brothers to get out and stay out!

Bay's 1st Game

Asher played first, then Bay. It rained harder at Bay's game and you can tell by the pics and looking at the kids. They were pretty wet. I think this reminded me of a backyard game of football....they were all muddy and wet! Bay's team had a horrible first game and did not even score. But, Bay played quarterback and tried his very best!

Daddy's the coach....in the huddle. See the rain?
At quarterback.....
Trying to get the flag. They are trying to catch Ryan Degges (you may remember him from baseball). He is friends with Bay and Eli and was supposed to be on our team......
Trying to get Ryan's flag again. This pretty much sums up the game. I'll post 2nd game pics later.........but get excited, because they won!!! The Panthers won their second game with a last second touchdown by Eli. The kids were so excited and the parents too :). It was way more exciting than UT football........

1st Flag Football Games

Flag football started several weeks ago and we're almost halfway through the season. Here are some pics of the first game. This was one of those recent days when it rained all day. They still played! Needless to say it was wet and some of the pics are blurry b/c of the rain. This is Asher's first time to play and as you can see- not only is he the cutest, but he is also a head shorter than the other boys. He doesn't seem to care about this and seems to enjoy this sport better than soccer...

On defense and trying to get the flag....
Running the ball......

Jody is old

Jody had another Birthday recently, and here are a few pics of our very low key birthday celebration. Of course it fell on a Thursday and that is our busiest day of the week (school, gymnastics, 2 flag football practices). So, we enjoyed some cake when we finally made it home...Thanks Mandy for the delicious red velvet cake.........he loved it!!!!!
Me and Jody because we never get pics of ourselves.......photo by Asher!

Hello Friends and Family! So, it's been super busy lately and I haven't had time to post. I'm doing several posts today that I have been meaning to do the past several weeks, so scroll through to get all caught up! Make sure your speakers are turned up 'cause I added a new song to our playlist....this is my favorite right now, and if I could, I would give each of you a copy because these are the words I would say to you :).

Because most of you never get to see Addie do gymnastics, I thought I would share a picture of her with her team. These are the Tataru's "Hot Shots" girls 5-6 years old and, in a couple of years, they will be the team girls. You'll want to study these little faces because you never know--you may see one of them in the Olympics one day! Addie loves gymnastics and she feels so confident when she's there. I really think it's helping her personality to come out.

Speaking of personality.......let me share a recent story and vent. So we're getting ready for church several weeks ago and Addie comes in my bathroom.....

Mommy: what's wrong? (b/c church dress is hanging off of her)
Addie: Mommy I don't like these dresses anymore!
Mommy: Well Addie....why don't you like them?
Addie: Because it makes my arms look fat.

Gah! I could have died. The fact that she says this is wrong on so many levels. Why in the world would a 5 year old even know this concept and care?! As a mom of a girl my heart breaks for her. The world we now live in is harsh and quite frankly full of stupid people teaching our children stupid things. A five year old should not say these things. EVER. And the irony of it all, she is TINY. Look at her compared to the other little girls. Tiny. And she complains about having small feet. Sigh. And so it begins. Pray for us. Pray for me. I'm fighting an uphill battle, but dang it, she will know how beautiful she is....how she is a princess....a daughter of the King....if its the last thing I do. This songs for you Addie Loo.
