1st grade Pet Day

1st grade recently celebrated pet day at CAK. When Bay was in 1st grade, I couldn't manage to get our 100lb golden to the school by myself, and Jody had to work. So, being a resourceful momma, Bay took a picture of he and Sadie. I may never live that one down! I laugh about it now and when I tell the story, people ask if the dog died?!?! No!!!!!! She's freaking HUGE and I can't get her in and out of the car!!!!! Hahahahahahahaha!

Anyway, Jody was able to make it for Addie and Asher's pet day and we decided to bring Maggie since she's smaller and easier to manage. I was even able to get her groomed before we took her to school that day. Everyone loved her. There were several other goldendoodles there, but our Maggie was definitely the prettiest. And the biggest furball :)!!!!

Pumpkin Patch (With Cousins!!)

This weekend we made our annual trip to the Pumpkin Patch. This year, my sister and I planned ahead and we were able to make the trip together- with both of our families. It was a great time riding the hayride, picking pumpkins, and my kids really enjoyed the slides and tractor rides :). Hopefully this will become a tradition for us! Foothills Fall Classic Gymnastics Meet

Addie's second competition was held over the weekend. She was nervous about her bar routine, but managed to do all her skills this time! I'd say it was a very successful competition for her- 2nd place on Floor, 2nd place on Beam, 5th on Bars, and 7th on Vault. She came in 4th for All-Around.....WOW! We were all so very proud of her and I think she was pretty proud of herself :). At least she looks that way in the pictures from the award ceremony!

Addie had quite a few fans cheering her on at this one......Meme was there, Papaw and Trish (and Ashlnn), Olivia and Brooke (2 little girls in Hot Shots who will be on team next year....they were all in class together last year!), and BIG brother Bay!!!!! Bay was so very proud of her!

Johnny Appleseed Day

There's been a lot happening lately with our family......make sure you scroll down to catch up on everything! Addie and Asher celebrated Johnny Appleseed Day at school recently. It was kind-of low key compared to how I remember Bay celebrating, but, the kids really seemed to enjoy learning all about Johnny Appleseed, playing games with apples, measuring apples, weighing apples, and, of course, making caramel apples! A few pics of the fun :)

Field Trip to Schultz Farm

Addie and Asher's 1st grade class went on a field trip last week to Shultz Farm in Athens, TN. They learned a lot of interesting facts about apples, bees and got to go on a fun little hay ride. Momma was thrilled to tag along for all of the excitement. Here's a few pics of the fun!!!

Dads and Doughnuts

Addie and Asher recently celebrated Dads and Doughnuts Day with their 1st grade class. Jody said it was a fun time with the twins and that he was able to write a note to them in their journals. Bay went along for a few minutes and snapped a couple of pics of the special morning.........
