On the 4th

By the time the 4th of July came our family was pooped! So, we spent a quiet day at home in the pool and then finished everything off with some yummy turkey burgers (thanks Jody!) and fireworks watched through our bathroom window. Oh, and we also took down Asher's bunk bed and moved in a new Big boy bed. Long story. I'll post more about it later. Anyway, it was the perfect way to finish out the weekend! And of course I took pictures. It's kind of an obsession of mine, Ha! This first one is Jody and Addie trying to stunt. Is so funny to me!

4th of July Party at Cha Cha's

Sunday we were able to go to my sister's house for her 4th of July party. They just moved into their new home and it's so perfect for them! We had a great time and especially enjoyed going to another house for a party instead of having it at ours :). Thanks for inviting us Cha Cha! A few pics from the afternoon. Weekend on the Lake

We spent this past Saturday on the lake with our friends Sheri and Steve and their son Nick. Our kids had their first opportunity to tube and try to ski. We've been out several times this summer and they love the lake. I mean LOVE it. More than I expected. They just go crazy jumping off the back of the boat and swimming in that nasty water (Yes, I've been in too, it's just that Ft. Loudon lake is so gross). Anyway, it was loads of fun and of course I took pictures to share with you. The one above is Addie and Asher on the tube :)

Asher trying to ski. He almost got up! It was a bit crazy because the first time we tried he never stood up and was just being drug on his back. Addie freaked out! I've never seen her more worried about her brother in all my life! It was one of the rare moments when we've seen their special bond come into play. Anyway, her freaking out scared Asher, and well, needless to say, he tried one more time and then all the kids hit the tube. No one else wanted to try to ski :(.

4th of July Weekend

So, once again my computer is going haywire. When I put in pictures, they come up on the blog in a totally random sequence. I'll try to label accordingly, but you may just have to guess where they belong! 4th of July weekend was super busy at our house, but super fun! Friday, Addie and I went to the Taylor Swift concert with her little friend Emma and her mom Whitney. It was so much fun! I think they were a little overwhelmed by all of the other screaming little girls there, but they seemed to enjoy it. Taylor Swift put on an entertaining show despite being sick. I'm so glad Emma and her mom invited us to go.....Addie and I will definitely do another girls night like this again soon! A few pics from the night.
