Our last and final stop on this weekend getaway was the Creative Discovery Museum for kids!!! This is the place for fun and exploring, and we had a blast. Here's the kids on the steps before all the fun...

Our third stop was a total surprise...our hotel ended up being right behind the Chattanooga Lookouts stadium. There was an 8 o'clock game, so we had to go! Here's Addie with her daddy!

There were only a couple of home runs, but everytime there was, this little choo-choo came out from behind the signs....the kids thought this was too cute and we had the opportunity to talk about the Chattanooga Choo-Choo.....

Bay and I tried, unsuccessfully, to get a good picture of us enjoying the game. By the way, Cha Cha met us in Chattanooga and was able to sneak around to all the attractions with us too. She'll show up in the next post, but for now, she took like 8 pics of Bay and I and this was the best we could get......

Last weekend our family took a small break from everyday life and did a mini vacation! The kids took a quick trip with Papaw and Trish up to the Wilderness Lodge and were able to spend the night in the cool hotel and play until they were exhausted (Papaw and Trish were exhausted too:)! They rode all the indoor water slides, played in the wave pool, enjoyed the lazy river, and rested in the huge hottub. Jody and I were able to go up there and spend the second night and we got to have fun in the water too.......Thanks Papaw and Trish for a fun time! I would highly recommend this place for a fun time...the hotel was so nice and the set-up of everything is so convenient.

First stop in Chattanooga was the Aquarium...the first pic is of the kids and the Chattanooga waterfront! Second pic is Bay with an alligator......this is in honor of his friend Eli, who hates the Tennessee Vols and loves any other team...including the Florida Gators!

Our second stop was an Imax movie. This pic is of the boys wearing their cool 3D glasses. We saw a movie about the Sea. Basically they say that Global Warming is killing all the sea creatures and beautiful stuff under the sea. Whatever. Has anyone else noticed that we have had an unseasonably cool July here in East Tn? I call crap on this Imax movie...seemed mostly like an agenda by the democrats and those from Hollywood. Luckily the kids just watched and didn't make much of the narrating :).

Thomas Family 4th!!!
We Griffins were honored to host the annual "Thomas Family 4th" get-together last saturday. We had a great time visiting with family and hope all of you had fun too!!! My dad and his siblings were able to get my granny from the nursing home and i think her being here made the party! Although she was worn out when she left, i think i can speak for all when i say they are priceless memories! We missed seeing those of you who couldn't attend and hope we can come up with another excuse to get together soon :).
