1st Lost Tooth!!!!!
So, we have finally lost our first tooth. Bay has been saying how it hurt to eat and we have just been waiting for the right time to pull it. Monday (Memorial Day), we spent the day with some of our very best friends. We were standing on their dock talking about how Bay should just pull it because we would always remember that he lost his first tooth on Memorial Day. While we were talking, Bay was just sort-of wiggling it around. All of a sudden, in what seemed like a slow motion scene out of a movie, Bay sort of jumped back and stuck his hand out like he was trying to catch something. It all happened so fast that we did not even know what happened! But, he tried to catch it and as he says "If I would just have put my fingers together, it wouldn't have gone through!" It fell right through the crack of the dock. He was devastated. This picture was taken as I was trying to console him. You can see the disappointment in his eyes as he tries to smile, all the while wishing he could have held his 1st tooth!

After some talking it through, a pic with mommy and the missing tooth!!!
Pic with daddy.....toothless! P. S. I think the tooth fairy felt bad for him too, Bay woke up to a note and a $5!!!!!!!!!

Last Saturday was Addie's recital....she has been busy this year with gymnastics, but also ballet and tap! Addie has loved taking at Gym Bugs and loves her teacher Mrs. Romni......unfortunately, she was not in the mood on recital day. Can I get an "Amen?" Luckily, I took pictures at the rehearsal the night before and was able to get several good ones...This first pic shows them getting their first peek at the stage!!!
Addie at the start of one of their dances.......beautiful smile, huh?
Tap! She probably likes this better than ballet, and all the girls love that the shoes make sound when they walk. Those things are slippery though.....I can't tell you how many of these pretty little things I witnessed face plant to the ground this year. Luckily, the recital was a success and everyone stayed on their feet. This song was "Talk to the Animals."
The whole group....

Boys are crazy......and so, despite the bad weather, they were determined to swim! Luckily, I was able to dig out enough swim trunks for all of them. As you can see, we had several cannon ball contests before they gave into the shivering......

The other cookie cake. These things are so expensive! I think we managed to eat all of this one and most of the other. Bay was thrilled, so I guess it was worth it!

May 2, 2009.....Bay had his friends over for a camp-out. Well, it was suppossed to be a camp-out, but of course we haven't had any good weather in like 3 weeks and have missed probably 5 baseball games.....but I digress. The weather did not cooperate, so the boys stayed over and slept in the basement instead of tents. It turned out to be a fun party though....Jody came up with a blow up big screen tv that we put in the garage, and the kids were able to play xbox on it and watch movies. Pretty cool, I think! Here is most of the crew with their doo rags...
The set-up....big screen with chairs....this was especially cool later in the night when we put the garage down, turned off the lights, and put on one of the best boy movies ever....the Sandelot!

May 1st, 2009.....The day before Bay's birthday we celebrated with a family party at home. This was Bay's request, and he loves to have family over! As you can see, he is getting so BIG! Almost too big to hug, but I still sneak them when I can. Aunt Cha-Cha set up the pic with all of the men of the family and we will take this every year to watch Bay grow into a man. I can't stand to even think about it!

Here's the cake......Bay insisted on a cookie cake and we all know how much he loves Tennessee Football!
His favorite gift, and the one he has been wanting forever......if you come over, I can guarantee you will have to play! Look how excited he is!

On May 2, 2002 our lives were forever changed by the birth of our first baby. It is so hard to believe that it has been 7 years since Bay was born.....I can still remember his precious little face and that beautiful smell that can only come from above. Today, Bay is a constant source of joy and we are so proud of the boy he is becoming!!!
