All I Want For Christmas Is......

My Two Front Teeth! Bay lost his other front tooth the other day. Daddy helped him pull it. He looks so cute without the teeth and it reminds me so much of that sweet little mouth he had as a baby. He was a little embarassed when this pic was taken and said he looks silly without his two teeth......what do you think?? I say he's precious! No telling when his new teeth will make an appearance. The tooth fairy failed to show up the first night (Boo!), but came through on the second. Praise!!!!

Asher and that Other Guy

Snort! I'm just kidding!!!! Papaw would have loved that I titled it this. Was just his sense of humor. Our visit to the nursing home also allowed us to see my dad (Papaw to my kids). This was actually right before his birthday and the kids delivered his birthday card and told him all about their first day at school. Well, they kind of told him. They were so tired! Hope your birthday was great Papaw!!!!!

Great Granny and Little "Guy"

So, we made a last minute decision the day that school started to pay a quick visit to Great Granny. She is my grandmother (Granny) and so the kids call her "Great!" She is at a nursing home downtown and we haven't seen her in quite a while because she was sick, then the kids were sick, then she was sick......well, you get the picture. Anyway, Asher Guy is named after Granny's husband (my Papaw) who passed away before the kids got to meet him. His name was Guy James Thomas......Asher got the "Guy" and, of course, James Bay got the "James." I couldn't have picked a better name, because my little Guy reminds all of us so much of my Papaw. He favors both he and my dad, and he has the personality that Papaw did. It is too cute! Granny pegged this early on and said "That one's sneaky." Boy was she right!!!!!!!! These pics were so cute from that day that I decided to devote a page just to Great Granny and Little Guy. Love!!!!!

More Back to School

More back-to-school pics.....because I just can't choose which ones to post! Bay with his best buddy Eli. These two have been together since pre-K, and ended up in separate 2nd grade classes this year. So far, they're handling it well. Looks like lots of sleepovers and playdates in the future for these two!

Back to School 2010

Tis the season.......and no, I don't mean Christmas! As you know, the kids have all started back to school. It's a bittersweet time because they are in desperate need of some stability schedule wise, but I don't want them to go :(. It's been a fun summer with lots of swimming, traveling, but we are embracing this time and trying to make it an exciting thing for the kids! Here they are the morning of their first day. I made chocolate chip pancakes (their favorite) and decorated them for fun. It really made things exciting. If you look close, you'll notice that Bay is already in uniform.....all three kids are starting this year with their own alarm clock to wake them up. I think it's gonna make mornings a lot smoother and make for much less noise (i.e. me yelling upstairs to get up, I've said it three times already, you're not going to have time to eat).

Beach Leftovers

I forgot that we took two cameras to the beach. Our underwater camera has died, but we managed to pull the pics off of it! Here's a few leftovers from Hilton Head........the kids at the dune house....

Jody and Asher on the big bike, Addie riding by herself......we only did this twice. Riding with kids this age is tough, especially when only one can ride a bike by themselves (and yes, Addie was it). Since we've been back, Asher is now riding too! Bay is still a perfectionist and gives up too quick to learn :(. By the way, I was riding on a bike with Bay when I took this pic. It was so hard to take and we almost fell off our own bike. Snort!

The tide was different each day, but one day in particular there were tons of sand dollars. We managed to find quite a few! They won't allow you to take them out of the water, and because of that, my kids were insistent that we only take a picture and throw them back in before they died. I don't think I've ever seen so many at one time!

Playing Catch Up (Again!)

This time my delay in posting is not my fault! My laptops been in the hospital and I'm just now back in business. There's so much to say and I don't even know where to start......We had an awesome family vacation to Hilton Head for the 4th of July. It was hot, hot, hot and packed with people. It was a good time for the five of us to just enjoy being together and to soak in all the fun of the sand and surf. The kids REALLY enjoyed the ocean this year. It was the first time we have spent the majority of vacation on the beach vs. the pool. Jody and I were of course thrilled with their new fondness of the beach. I won't say too much because there are so many pics to share. Hope you enjoy!!!!!! (The first pic was breakfast the first day we woke up at the beach)
